That’s probably the best way to describe him! Like so many of these ISU transfers, he seems like a fantastic kid. We’re just about to start the season so I personally have to stop thinking about those guys as ISU players - they are now PSU and they all seem to be embracing it. From a football standpoint, there’s so much good buzz coming out from camp about Manske that I think he is likely our starting QB in 2027 and 2028. And that is very fortunate because as of this past spring, there was a lot of talk on different boards about having to spend millions in the portal on a starting QB for next year as the “heart condition” was out there, but the details were not.

Agree 100%. It’s a bit surprising that this is not mandatory testing for all of ncaa football, especially in these litigious times.

Reminds me of when the Air Force brought in the cycle ergometer test for fitness in 1992. Had two friend that at the time had been in the Air Force for 10 years or so and they protested loudly that the test was messed up because they were fit and could not pass it. Turns out that both had heart defects that they never knew about and their physicals for entering the Air Force did not catch. Both had their conditions surgically repaired and served to retirement. You never truly know about things until you test. That test was replaced in 2004, BTW.
