Racking your shins against the edge of a hard surface will test your pain tolerance.
Yeah I just did this a couple days ago, Instant jolt of pain.
A well placed sliver. Especially if it’s some material you can’t actually see in your skin. I’ve dug entire chunks out of my foot to get those bastards out.
These days... getting out of bed. I sound like Rice Krispies.
When my kids were little I’d pick up their Razor scooters to bring them inside and more than a few times they rotated around and drove the metal edge smack into my shins. *%#&$@?%#*!!!!
A bump on the perfect spot of the nose or an eyelash in the eye of someone with contacts.
I was unloading boxes off the back of a truck in my younger days. Went to grab a box and slid my hand between the box and the side of the truck. Drove a sliver of wood under my fingernail past the quick... couldn't see the end inside my finger. I would have confessed to anything to get that thing out.
I don't think that qualifies as "common", though.
A blood bruise under a nail. I've lost two big toe nails over that.

Same. The type that hurts so bad I don't even yell or swear.. just sit there quiet and holding my foot. Complete silence and anger.
It’s incredible how much pain a stubbed toe creates for a couple of minutes and then everything is back to normal.
Standing up and hitting your head on the corner of a cabinet door was going to be one of mine.
Or, wearing a ball cap and something hitting the button on top of it hard into your skull.

High ankle sprain was going to be another of mine. They just linger, especially as you age.
Back pain that comes on unexpectedly, when you are just doing normal things like twisting or bending to pick something up, and lasts for days. I've been dealing with some for about a week now.
chomping down on something delicious only to take a nice bite out of the side of your cheek or tongue
That was my old #1 but since time heals all pain I'm going with my current problem of turf toe. Feet suck.
A 66 year old set. This particular back injury is related to me playing VR golf not the size of my chest.
