South Carolina starts the sport season with women's soccer beating Oregon State two to zero. South Carolina out shot Oregon State 22-1. South Carolina looked good with multiple chances to score goals.

Ha, yeah, I never really understood why "shots on goal" was such an important stat. I mean, I get that there's a statistical correlation between the number of shots on goal and the number of goals scored, but 2 goals off 22 shots ain't great. And, I saw some highlights from the WC and it seems they use "shot on goal" pretty loosely. Someone might kick the ball in the general direction of the goal and miss it by 6 feet, but it's still called a shot on goal.

Now you’ve done it! All the soccer moms on this board are gathering at the State House to protest!

Soccer is so boring, they have to manufacture some semblance of analysis to convince themselves it’s exciting. Hence, the shots on goal.

There is a difference in shots and shots on goal. Perhaps they didn't differentiate.

women sports , our only consistent winners hope baseball comes back have no hope for fball or men bball both new coaches next yr looking forward to dawn's girls reaching 7th straight final 4!!!!!!!
