Its confirmed. Why isn’t confirmed!!?? Did it happen today??
ha....nope!Am I the only one who read past "WR" the first time and had a heart attack?
I hope they have Stewart wrapped in bubble wrap in a padded room.Death, taxes, and losing talented players to injury. Three assurances we Gamecock fans have.
I do have some exclsuive footage of the lineman practcingI hope they have Stewart wrapped in bubble wrap in a padded room.
No info, but it seems that every time we hear "lower body injury", it ends up being an ACL....so that's what I'm assuming. What lower body injury? Knee, ankle? Must be serious to be out the entire year.
I think Mazeo Bennett is better than Jayden Sellers. This is Mazeo's chance to go out and prove it.

Agreed Bennett is better, but Jayden is Lanorris Brother.
lower body injury- so strange. They are afraid saying torn ligaments could negatively impact the kids NIL so they do this bizarre reference to body areas instead of emphatically stating what the deal is. Ala Juice Wells- don't get me wrong, I like me some Jayden but I hate the state of pay to play.
Having the entire off season, an extended off season at that since there was no bowl practice, and still unable to play in the first game is concerning. I think everyone is aware of how long term back injuries can be. I know people who sustained back injuries in college who never fully recovered. Stewart may be fighting a bad back forever.yup- just found out Stewart isn't playing first game.

Beamer hasn't been exactly open and honest about the injury situation.
The first two games are throw away games though. I bet he misses both.
I agree. My point is, he has had 9 months to heal and go through the best rehab available anywhere and he still isn't able to play at 100%. I wonder if he will ever be back to what he was?
Back injuries are bad news. The fact he played with an injured back last season could mean he aggravated the injury to the point the injury may never fully go away.
I agree. Of he was 100%, he'd be playing.
Holding him out for meaningless games so he can get through the season is the smart move. I would do it myself. But it tells me he is still not 100%, and as long as its been, that is not a good sign.
Yeah, if 9 months isn't enough time to get back to 100%, I'm not sure two more weeks will be.
I foresee him coming back for MSSt and trying to play every game after that. I hope he doesn't have one of those nagging injuries that limits him to being 80-90% for the entire season.
Beamer is notoriously bad at injury updates.

I went to Carolina games before there was upper deck on either side injuries always a part of game,
but always affects us more we r luck to ever have a solid backup at every position I think sellars injury is huge,
if stewart doesn't play at all b4 msst then he will b on limited snap count vs them all ominous signs already, hanging over a fragile team
It appears Stewart is still dealing with the back injury from last season. He didn't participate in Spring practice and it sounds like he has been handled with kid gloves in Fall camp. I don't think he is "ready to play" at all. What?? - I'm catching up on the back-end here. Is Stewart really hurt?? I understand about the previous injuries from 9 months ago.
What I'm trying to find out and also impart is this: Is he really hurt from anything RECENT in the past week or two? - And imparting > Beamer HAS TO BE scared of losing his job this season. So is this "holding Stewart out" game 1 just a coy plan to save a perfectly healthy Stewart - while also not admitting that Stewart is perfectly healthy but we just don't want to use him against far inferior talent - while also pushing the REASON he's sitting out game 1 is due to injury. ??? Hope that makes sense.
In other words, is Beamer gonna hold him out game 1 and rest him....knowing he's perfectly ready to play, while also telling us / media that it's due to an injury?, vs holding him out because we just don't think we'll need him against the 1st game scrubs?? - You can't really say that to the media, or anybody. So, which is it?
If it's that bad, he ain't playing at all. - Beamer's just trying to do good PR to keep the fans in the lurch as long as possible until it becomes obvious that Stewart won't play this year. Maybe by the time the fans figure it out, the W's will have racked up and it won't matter. That's the only thing I can think of.It appears Stewart is still dealing with the back injury from last season. He didn't participate in Spring practice and it sounds like he has been handled with kid gloves in Fall camp. I don't think he is "ready to play" at all.
