Kiss: The most overrated rock band ever?

The correct answer is U2. Kiss is whatever.
In what way? I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone claim them to be anything other than a fun, silly band that doesn’t even take themselves that seriously. Also, if you’ve never seen them live I suggest you do. They impressed the hell outta me.
I just find their music repetative and boring. I don't think the singer is very good. To be fair, I didn't care about them one way or the other until "Why don't you get a job" started playing regularly on the radio. That song is unlistenable and it caused me to really dislike them. It's like they intentionality tried to suck.
I don't doubt they put on an interesting live show.

U2??? Through auchtung baby, one of the best ever. A couple good songs on zooropa, and not much since. But they had an amazing 10 to 15 year run, and their best songs are amazing.
REM could have been a top choice for most overrated if the category was 80s/90s alternative bands. The amount of R.E.M., Indigo Girls, The Smiths, etc. a guy had to suffer through in college just to get some threesomes ... it's cruel to have attached something so fun to a soundtrack like that.
