I'm ready.

Been listening to the Bobby Skinner Giants Nation podcast. Talking Giants podcast as well. Just watched a Chase Daniels breakdown of Dart's game vs the Bronco's.

The most locked in I've been in the offseason ever.

I love listening to Skinner. He has one of the best Giants podcasts out there. Big Blue Banter is good too along with Dan Duggan content from The Athletic

Jesus, waive Tracy. The season was almost over before it even started because of that dipsh*t. Just got Dart killed and to the tent. His first responsibility is outside blitz and he decides he's going to go out to the flat instead of checking for blitz first. Vikings are throwing the full D blitz playbook at the Giants in the 1st preseason game.

I know Dart was looking left when the blitz was coming from right but I/m pretty sure Mahomes, Williams or Allen would have avoided that hit. I've seen guys coming at Williams from behind and and Williams will move a few inches to dodge the sack. Some QBs are like birds that just know how to murmurate in a flock

That sack was totally on Tracy. Dart has to have faith in his teammates doing there job. If he's worried about them then his game will suffer.

Mahomes and Allen are seasoned HOF Quarterbacks. To compare Dart right now makes little sense at this point until he shows continued promise, growth and wins. Williams is an athletic beast, but not so sure about the pocket awareness yet.

Tracy mis-played his protection and gave up a free run at the QB which left virtually no time for a Dart reaction. Guessing that if he doesnt clean this up he will be buried on thr bench or jettisoned. Also its the first pre-season game and many of the starters were not even in the lineup. Probably why some teams don't even play their starting QBs in the pre-season.

This is one of those brilliant ideas.

I can't believe you took that statement literally.

There really wasn't any other way to take it. It wasn't ironic, or clever satire, or subtle critique, or funny. It certainly wasn't brilliant. And the rest of the post goes on about how bad it was and the ramifications were. Maybe it was an overreaction at the moment. I suspect you've calmed down. But that's not my problem. Your post is still there. To make you feel better, you do get points for the rare correct use of the word literally.

They were good at pocket awareness early. Caleb Williams was one of the best I ever saw when he was at USC. Mahomes was good off the bat. I don't know if it can be taught. Sometimes you can hear blitzers coming-in huffing and puffing. Some RBs are great at picking up blitzes and some (like Saquon Barkley) are bad at it even when they have all the tools to be good . Some QBs have a feel for the flow of the defense and instinctively stay close to pockets and seams in the flow.

Concerning "picking-up the blitz" I think the terminology should change to "neutralizing the blitzer.." "Picking-up" sounds like a blocker needs to just be ready to "intercept" a blocker. Just planting and being ready to intercept a rusher is a way to get beat. Rusher can run around a blocker who is ready "to meet" a rusher. No - you have to go after him and into him with force - be the hammer and not the nail. As soon as you see the rusher you go get him to hit him. I went through this as a DE moved to OL., I had the janky concept of picking up the blitz., Coach made it the theme of the day to bust my butt until I got it and then I was a killer.

Bueller, you need some field awareness. This is the video we use around here to show Brady dealing with any type of pass rush:
