My sisters graduated PSU. And I didn’t go to Towson. I didn’t turn my back on Penn State. I left Penn State because I’d reached my limit on trying to be deaf in hearing world. My parents wanted me to be “normal” and I tried my best but I hit the ceiling, I just couldn’t make it work and if I had tried to stay I would have soon been kicked out. I ended up doing okay, ended up getting a doctorate from what was then the #16 mathematics program in the country.

I apologize for hurting your feelings. But thanks for this post, it reminded me of your ugliness. I should have known better than to try to get along with you.

A running game is the last segment of an offense to jell. Any old RB will tell you, that sticking your nose(and other body parts) into a meat grinder doesn't come natural and timing and vision comes with repetition. The OL needs repetition as well to develop synchronization. Defense in general, dominates early. There are those who know and those who spew feces.

He misused Allen as well...he should have been the primary back
You being in love with Franklin doesn't alter he made a ton of obvious mistakes...particularly with the offensive scheme
When you dont put players in the best situation to succeed you failed. He failed.
The Steelers made no secret that they had to redo everything Allar learned here.

I thought the same. 23 carries in a preseason game must be some kind of record.

Don't know about preseason. But Franco once had 41. I think the record is 45. I do recall John McKay's response to a question about his tailack's and # of carries. "The ball isn't very heavy."

My response to that would have been "it's not about the ball, but the legs/condition of the runner."

McKay also once said, in response to someone asking him about giving O.J. Simpson so many carries, “He’s not in a union, we can run him as many times as we want.“ McKay was a witty guy.

I think my favorite line by him came when he was coaching Tampa Bay and after yet another loss, he said “We didn’t block but we made up for it by not tackling.”
