Aren't kneepads an NCAA requirement? Maybe even OSHA for all I know. Safety thing.

Wouldn't look too bad if it was some actual camo the military uses like Multicam, Scorpion or digital and used in honor of the military.

Technically, kneepads are required for safety. I believe it's illegal to not have them.

However, the rulebook leaves no ambiguity: knees must be covered by knee pads inside the pants.

I don't understand why they are necessary but as far as novelty goes, I like them.
