There definitely are numerous classic eps of ILL.

Of all the men she could have married, she picked a real pud in Desi Arnaz.

Babaloo!!!!

While Desi was a serial cheater, he helped pioneer multiple camera taping (paving the way for syndication reruns) with a live audience and smartly retained the rights to the film.

Together, they started Desilu Productions, the 2nd largest independent production company at that time.

Actually remained friends after their divorce and grew quite close towards their twilight years.

Watched reruns as a kid. Wasn’t a big fan, but my parents loved it. The whole show was a lot of yelling

Don’t hate me, but I never thought Tim Allen was funny at all.
Some situational comedies require perspective. I recall laughing at scenes in "Everybody loves Raymond," because a long time husband could anticipate the wrath that Debra was about to unleash on Ray....by that look! My wife didn't share my amusement.
It is interesting that comedy themes have progressed from the hairbrained Red Head Wife to the brain dead husbands.....King of Queens, Everybody Loves Raymond and Home Improvement.
Desi Arnaz was about 6 years younger than Ball, and a known lady's man when they married. Of course that never changed. However, while Lucy was the unquestioned "star" Desi was a brilliant businessman.

Shep,
There is enough 'hate' in the world today, your preference in actors should not be weighed.
BY the way, is that a pic of you and your partner? If so, very lovely.

My grandmother and mother loved the “I love Lucy” show. They did not like the “Here’s Lucy” show as much. In her prime Lucille Ball was stunning.

You had 11 channels! we had 5 and only if they wind blew the right direction.
We got Ch 6 out of Johnstown, Ch 10 out of Altoona, and Ch 3 out of State College clear if the antenna was turned in the right direction. Got 2, 4, 11 and 13 out of Pittsburgh with a snowy screen at best again with the antenna pointed in the right direction.

It was slim pickings for a kid during soap opera time when it was raining out. Then it was time for 1 against 1 tackle football in the basement or pillow fights upstairs which eventually led to my old grandmother that lived with us swearing at us in Polish and trying to pop us with her cane as we tried to run away from her and not get cornered. Fortunately, all the rooms on the first floor and the basement were connected to make a loop and she didn't climb the stairs to the two bedrooms on the second floor or else we would have had to climb out the window onto the porch roof. Good times. We were little hellions. My little brother and I still get a laugh about it.

There used to be decent movies on at 400pm...the Big Show on KDKA, Dialing for Dollars on WIIC.

Now, pretty much repetitive crap.
