Are there no fast food burger joints in the United Kingdom

He really likes those burgers, tots, fries and shake! Probably better than any burger place in the UK.
The last time I was in England was 1994-95 i remember the burger patties had no Maillard effect. hopefully that has improved. I assume the buns are different as well.
it was in a pub if i remember correctly or perhaps it was at a clubhouse at a cricket club--- we usually practiced and usually played at Cricket clubs and then had post game/practice meals at the pub area of the Cricket club.
Eventually you seek out a McDonalds for simplicity and you know what you are getting
And then you find out fast food in other countries is very different and you actually don’t know what you are getting.
