Ok. I guess it could be done maybe. But is there a better live album?

No. The answer is no. I do really like An Evening with the Allman Brothers Band though. Different songs from a totally different era, but still outstanding.

guess it depends on your generation and preference of music. this has and will be the best live album ever IMO.

I'll add although it's not an album, the bootleg of the Levon Helm and Rick Danko accoustic set at Starry Night in Portland was REALLY good as well.

Jane’s Addiction’s debut album was their self-titled live album in 1987. Tremendous stuff including a cover of the Stones’ ‘Sympathy for the Devil.’

I think it's the best live album ever, but I'm biased. The seamless segue between Travelin Man and Beautiful Loser is unreplicated.
I discovered this album within the last year and it rips. So good.

That’s one of the things I’ve really liked about streaming music/spotify. I’ve found so many great live albums by bands/artists I love.

And my own personal contribution:

I’ll often listen to this front to back on road trips.

When I saw this headline, I was thinking that after reading the thread, my reply will have to be "no, it's live at the Fillmore East". Thank you my brother for having such great musical taste.

And why Lord, did you have to take Duane at such a young age? Can you imagine what heights this band would have attained?

Went to an Allman Brothers concert decades ago. No opening act. Concert supposed to start at 8:00 and they didn’t come out until about 8:20. Gregg apologized for being late and said they would make it up. Took one 15 minute break and were still playing at 11:45 when me and my buddy left since it was a week night and we both had to get up early the next day to do construction work. Absolutely fantastic concert.

Saw dave mason twice

rusty rudder in Dewey early 80’s and kahunaville mid 90’s

For the second one was at a heart concert a few weeks earlier at kahunaville ( they were ok) and the bar stations all had stacks of Dave mason tickets they were giving away. I took a half dozen and went with friends

the mason concert was fabulous

I would pick Brussel's Affair just because of Mick Taylor. What makes it strange is that no one really knew about the audio/video recordings until they were released 38 years later. Like finding a $100 bill on the street for Stones fans. Unexpected happiness.

Frampton, Paris, and Bob Seger are right there.
