Wonder what it is about Hall that makes Pope say no. Maybe he thinks he's a chemistry killer or something. Seems odd to say no to somebody like Hall but then have Hawthornes little brother on the team or sign players with Acl injuries.

Maybe Hall is really bad. Like almost as bad as DeMarcus Cousins and he would probably do some really bad things like tell Mississippi State to call him or elbow a Louisville player in the face. Yea we don't want players with attitude.

Pope probably would’ve taken him if mark mitchell wasn’t available

Hard to really care too much about high school recruiting with 5 for 5 in place now, I know you need a good mix, but that veteran depth is huge
need 2 or 3 high quality freshman who will stick around for another year or two to be steady building blocks. cant just do a whole sale rebuild every year.

Completely agree, but I think now if you’re not getting a 1-15/20 HS guy, it’s really hard to look at it and think they’ll be as productive as a 4th/5th year. Portal is so enticing for kids too that it’s hard to convince them to stay for more than just a year as is

So after what has been a damn good summer of recruiting for Pope/staff, one guy deciding he isn’t going to visit = Pope/staff can’t even get a player to visit?

This is what an overreaction looks like.
Incoming class consists of 2 high school recruits. One due to the hiring of his father and the other because his brother was signed. Lost out on numerous other high school recruits due to begging Stokes to sign even though the staff was told he was going to Kansas. Lost out on top portal targets and had to pay Milan more than anyone else to get him. Pope learned nothing from last years fiasco and still got the big guy from Washington despite injury prone past and Kam still trying to recover from injury suffered last year. Passing on hall for Mitchell, who is only 50/50 to be eligible, and then hope that he signs with uk. Wabbington cancelation just continues Pope's lack of recruiting prowess.
