Those are the films they picked as "best known for"? Driving Miss Daisy, obviously on the list, but I barely remember the other two.

They should have said: "He is best remembered as being God, or The Narrator, for any film having those roles.

Well, he played Nelson Mandella in Invictus and got one of his 4 Oscar nominations (Street Smart, DMD and Million Dollar Baby were the other 3). Edited to Add: 5 Oscar nominations, forgot Shawshank.

He literally played God in Bruce Almighty... that's literally the movie people know that landshart from the most.

Hell his narration skills alone anre incredible across all kinds of things I can’t think of at the moment not to mention all his great movie roles as well. Speaking of Bruce Almighty way back when it came out it may have been the hardest I ever laughed in that scene when Jim Carry made Steve Carrell go off on a hilarious as 17 rant live. My lord that’s funny and yes i realize Freeman isn’t in that scene but it’s one of the funniest ever. My fiancé had always said if either of us shall pass, she wants him to narrate our lives

I loved thay movie as a kid but havent watched it in a long time. Should remedy that.

Slight hijack, but Kevin Costner supposedly took voice lessons to learn to speak with a British accent, tried it during filming and was told to drop it and speak normally.

Also, Alan Rickman was given free reign to rewrite his lines and adlibbed memorable lines like "cut his heart out with a spoon" and to "cancel Christmas."

Many fans thought one of the most iconic movie lines ever spoken was when Jack Nicholson uttered the words in court to Tom Cruise....."You Can't Handle The Truth!!".... although, I liked one Nicholson said earlier in the same movie when he mocked Theodore Roosevelt's famous line...."Speak Softly and Carry a Big Stick"......Nicholson, uttered ..... "Speak Softly and Carry an Armored Tank Division with You".
