Seen somewhere maybe Facebook that it's been a decade since we took Big Bertha down (2016). Haven't been to a final four since she's been down. People wanting to hang her back up to lift the curse. Y'all want Bertha back?

Wasn't there an old lady that called into KSR at the time and said that she refused to go to another game at Rupp because they took it down?
Big Bertha was ultra steampunk cool and weird. I’d want it back regardless.

It's in my man cave hooked up as my surround sound system.
I worked for the company that made it and was really neat seeing it being built. The speakers used in it were Altec Lansing speakers. It used some of most famous speakers in the commercial application. Some of them were actually “Voice of the Theater speakers. It was pretty much cutting edge back then.

Sitting beside his bed. Has a snooze button.
He told me about it when he gave my son a sports physical a few years ago. He mentioned that he was going to have a building constructed for it or that he already had. He was in the process of building a new house at the time.
God I forgot how bleak the pre-JMI days were! You can keep Bertha, I'll be enjoying the Morgan and Morgan video board in exciting 4k!
It was the predecessor to the 460 cc drivers. Innovative at the time. Looks like a hybrid 4 nowadays.
This is all I could think of when I'd gaze up at Bertha.
