At the end of his obstacle course he sits on the couch to watch his favorite team and on the TV screen is Texas. Perhaps PSU is not affiliated with DIRECTV , so no publicity there?

Disrespected once again! PSU is becoming the Rodney Dangerfield of "college" football.
Yeah, they were there yesterday. I saw that commercial twice this morning and both times nothing.
Commercials sometimes are reduced to fit a certain time spot. Every time that I've seen that commerical, I've seen the pillows. Also, the first time that he looks at his phone, it's of a clip of a Duke football player.
It wasn’t a time-limit issue in this case. The pillows are there, the issue is that the Go State imprint on the pillows had been removed. Go State was on the pillows yesterday, gone from the pillows today. And yesterday the pillows were very clearly Penn State blue with white lettering. Today the pillows are more grayish, a completely different color. I saw this commercial twice this morning, no “Go State” on the pillows either time.

Yeah, going by Occam’s Razor, you’re likely correct. Just a wild guess here: Saquon made a request for the Go State pillows and Direct TV said okay, knowing that it was a possibility they’d be asked to remove them. It was fun while it lasted.
If that's what happened, then PSU is throwing away free publicity, and it's not as if "Go State" is used only by PSU.
It must have cost a good bit of time and cash money to re-shoot the commercial and have Saquon make all those jumps again just to replace pillows.

Watching the NFL Network and just now I saw the Saquon ad again. The Go State and the blue pillows are back! Funny thing, the Go State is in one line, I could swear that when I first saw the ad the Go was on top of the State, two lines, bigger letters. Lol.
Penn State, especially the Administrators, needs to go Eff itself.

It may have been the DirectTV lawyers without input from PSU. Penn State does not have a monopoly on pinheads....
