Josh Smith Jr Moves to Kentucky

Teaming up with Pierre Rondo if I’m not mistaken.
Their dads played together at Oak Hill back in the day.
His dad had crazy hops! He was awesome on 2K back in the day.
Saw Rondo and Smith play at North Laurel. Oak Hill was extremely dynamic with Rondo spreading the ball out and Smith could jump out of the gym.
Back then, I played in a fantasy basketball league with some buddies and I ended up with Smith like, 4 years I think. Right around the same area of the draft. For pure stats purposes, he was a decent scorer, nice rebounder at SF and chipped in a few assists a game but he was really good on the defensive side of the ball. Completely sucked from 3 and at the line though. But he was a solid piece in that format for sure.
He has been living with Rondo the past 3 months in Louisville... This has been in the works for sometime... High School ball is now the AAU of ball. Transfer whenever you want. Even in the middle of the season... Too many loop holes. I can give anyone the power of attorney for my sons education and he can play at any school in Louisville where those parents live... North is going to cut the nets down this year possibly.
his father was also 6'9 230 with a 40" vertical leap. Not a lot of need to be able to shoot the ball with that God given ability.
Remember that well. Pretty sure they were really close buddies as well and not just teammates. Pretty cool to see their kids play together. If he’s good enough, let’s see them both play at UK. I for sure what little Rondo.
His father could shoot it, he just couldn’t make it.
I thought Jennings was going to be the truth in the league. Boy was I wrong. He went to Arizona right?
He committed to Zona but couldn’t get academically eligible so he played overseas for a year and then went to the league. Billy G recruited him pretty hard. Think we were plan B but he was never going anywhere but Zona if he got cleared.
But yeah, Jennings high school highlights were nasty. He would have been a fun one.
Pierre is a stud. He balled out at 13 years old in the State Tournament last season. Too bad we have around 4 years to see where he'll end up, but yes, I want him in the Blue and White.
We shall see. My son plays at Collins.. We played GRC last year and got stomped. Let's revisit this post next year to see...
