2026 college wrestling schedule news thread

Even without Penn State on its home schedule, Iowa could be looking at a losing record in Carver-Hawkeye.
Still have my P-38 with my dog tags. Added my Dad’s WWII dog tags so now I have quite the clanking mess on the rare occasions when I wear them.
Not a chance! I used to have to open my K’s in the pitch dark and the only excitement was “out there”.
Not seeing Iowa State beating Iowa this season. And Carver is still Carver. I'd set the over/under for home losses at 2.5.
Only 3 1/2 months until the season starts! These dog days of summer here in Southern California have me longing for the cool Fall weather when I get to throw on my wrestling socks and settle into some great wrestling action.
PSU is going to Oklahoma.
Nebraska is going to Ok St. They have a “10 year agreement.”

Scott Goodale has transformed Rutgers into one of the nation's premier wrestling programs. Since taking over in 2007, he has become the winningest coach in school history, guided the Scarlet Knights to their first NCAA individual champions, and earned 2019 NCAA Tournament Coach of the Year honors. His leadership has produced a record number of NCAA qualifiers and All-Americans while elevating Rutgers to consistent national prominence.
I can already hear the OSU fans: "Since you're already in Oklahoma, why not also wrestle a real Oklahoma program?" : )
The trip to OU makes sense as the return visit for last year. It'll be interesting to see if it's the only dual of the trip or if Cael will schedule something else. Last season they made a trip to Wyoming as a stand-alone dual so maybe the same will hold true with OU.

I don't doubt it, and look forward to RE: FOIA'ing Oklahoma for the contract info after they told me that no such info existed for last year's dual or any future ones.

Wrestlestat is listing Penn State-Lehigh on Dec. 6. I've not been able to confirm it with either school yet but it would certainly fall on the regular part of the schedule for that particular match.

I may need to make that trip as it is the closest they will get to central Texas. Would a Little Rock trip be a possibility? Give Cael to scout a few transfers for next years Iowa team.

Slumlord Bob lives in Colorado. Would be nice to give him a kinda-sorta home match, so he doesn't have to fly to Iowa City to see how level the field is.

Hey now, searching out mostly hidden but still public college wrestling schedules to figure out who Penn State was wrestling during the non-conference portion of the schedule has been around a lot longer than Bo Bassett's school list reduction haha.This I s starting to sound like Bo Basset's cross off recruiting list.
