To be fair, Tenn Tech was 11-2 last year. But one of the 2 was a 42-10 loss to Kentucky.

Disappointing, but understandable. After all, we're going into a season where in order to get to just 7 wins, we'll need every single position on the roster other than maybe 2-3 to either be better than they were last year, better than their predecessor, or both. In all seriousness, is there anyone in the starting 22 aside from Smith and Jones that we just need to be the player they've already been?

Whitson? Granted we need him to come back from injury and be the player he was.

Who knows how good any team will be with the portal. Who would have thought Texas and Tenn would be so average last season? Both LSU and Clemson were top 8 going into that game. Both ended up average or below. Everyone thought they were going to be world beaters. You don't know year to year anymore and if any say they do take their bets.

K1 needs to improve, which is obvious - every player does. But I have a little trust that he's going to give us some better options than Shapen did right away.

Evans, Bothwell, Boone, Whitson. You named Isaac and Jones. That's 6. Syllah and Manning and Jefferson on the field would help. Tillman? Jalen Smith? I get your point but there is some returning talent. Hopefully we've added better talent on top of that. I know it's going to be tough, especially with our brutal schedule. But I don't have the doom and gloom that some of y'all are obviously feeling.
