Agree. Unfortunately they aren't covering the QB battles yet...for the record I don't agree with this guy, I think Allar will be just fine and will be named QB3 at camps end. They will cut Rudolph.

We shall see how things unfold starting on Thursday. If Mason looks as solid as he should look, the Steelers may be able to parlay that into a solid trade for value as camp ends. There will be more than one team in search of a quality starter and/ or backup.

I listen to The Fan and the DVE Morning Show and their Steelers reporters have said that he’s doing okay and has exceeded expectations in general. However, I’ve heard that he’s looked a lot like he did at PSU: he makes some throws that only elite QBs can make, but then misses layups like the goal line pass to Singleton in the Orange Bowl, despite getting elite coaching from McCarthy.

I’d be shocked if Rudolph isn’t the number 2 qb unless Howard has a GREAT preseason. I expect that they’ll either keep four QBs or cut or trade Howard or put him on the practice squad if possible if Howard struggles. Then, next season, Allar will be in the same position as Howard this season.

I'm sorry but no one is giving up anything valuable for Mason--maybe we trade Masson & a 7th for a 6th
