Well, it took awhile for them to get this right, but today after a 28 year wait Roger Craig get his yellow jacket. Yeah, I know, he was a cornshucker, but he's a Davenport kid who made good on the biggest stage. First, (and one of only three) NFL players to rush and receive for over a 1000yds in the same season. First NFL player to record 3 td's in a super bowl. Kinda cool to see his team mate from middle school, high school, college, and NFL Jamie Williams as his presenter . Saw 2 yrs of his high school career from the opposite sideline, and he was an incredible player. Happy for him to finally get his due....

Central played against one of the Dubuque schools in his last high school game in the state playoffs, and Roger ran for around 350yds and 4 or 5 TD's but they lost the game late.
Probably Hempstead. They had a very good team that year.
He once said something to the effect that had Hayden already been in place he would have gone to Iowa. Oh well I guess.
There was a rumor that he was thinking of transferring to Iowa but Curtis talked him out of it.
