What would it be?

Obvious one: Pitino puts someone on Grant Hill on the shot.
This is a tough one. The two that IMMEDIATELY came to mind was obviously the one you referenced.

What else immediately came to my mind was Jack Clark dropping the foul ball that lead to Don Denkinger blowing the call that lead to the Cardinals blowing the 85 series. Just catch the damned foul ball Jack!

Or Pitino let's DA play in the Championship game against Arizona. Rick was a great coach, but those two decisions cost us two Championships

John Higgins being allowed to ref
Or any ref named Higgins😉No offense to the Higginses out there, I’m an Ellen Calipari fan and she’s a Higgins😀

Although they aren’t related, Tim or John Higgins-officiated losses represent some of the most inexplicable, stinging losses we’ve ever had (complete lists of games are linked in their respective names). Look at the heartbreakers between these two!

Tim
1992 vs Duke
1995 vs UNCheats
1997 vs Arizona

John
2005 vs Michigan State
2011 vs U CON
2015 vs Wisconsin
2017 vs UNCheats
🙉🙈🙊 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️

1.Keith Bogans ankle injury. Sure Crean had Wade, but we were the superior team. Crean is still probably getting tv gigs because of that one game.

2. Dale Brown shoulder injury colliding with the scorers table against Michigan in the '93 Final Four. Downtown Dale Brown was more than a shooter. He was our best defensive player by far. Losing him and then Mash to foul trouble spelled doom for us.

Laettner, always Laettner!
Imagine getting back all of the time you've spent seeing that stupid replay, reliving that gut punch.

The Catch… I wish it could be changed to The Drop … but I would put the Jackie Smith drop ahead of this one.

I actually wouldn’t put Laettner on this list. It was the “Rocky” moment for UK that made the Pitino run all the more epic.

It was the most painful game I’ve ever watched as a UK fan but it truly cemented my love for UK forever.

I’d add the 1986 Elite 8 loss to LSU to this list as Kenny Walker was my first UK hero and I can still see Ricky Blanton’s ugly *** face screaming as he ran down the floor once LSU had kind of sealed it.

Duke beats us and Plays Texas Western for the championship.
That game whoever played it was going to proclaimed racist. Even tho Rupp fought harder than anyone for integration, He is still labeled a racist. So was our program. I would have loved for Duke to carry that.
We were also the first to integrate SEC football. Didn’t matter. They had their villain.
