Brevard lost a lot of players due to several circumstances and has a new head coach that some arenāt sold on. Pisgah, on the other hand, we lost a ton (pretty much every offensive skill player and LB and DB). If us and Brevard, wind up in the Top 10 come year end, that will be a pretty solid campaign by either team. We have a very strong junior class but they will have to anchor this yearās team at the skills positions.

I know Tuscola will have a very good RB in Trantham and Iād imagine theyāll focus the offense around him. Iād give them a very slight edge among the 4A teams in our conference and think 5a Franklin is probably the favorite overall. Franklinās Garrett Young will be an absolute load out of the backfield this year.

Surely not a one post and done. Did they ever build a new stadium at Bandys? I remember playing there of course in the 97 game and then a few times when we were in same conference.
Well I do have maiden beating hickory I donāt think theyāll have as big of a down year as everyone thinks.
I donāt know how much yall will be able to pass this year. Doesnāt seem like yalls qb can throw very far. May be relying on the run game a lot.But we are the underdog that everyone is beating down and we are trying to learn to embrace this roll

I've seen a quarterback in a Maiden Jersey throw 50 yards50 yards? That's not what everyone else is saying. Those 7on7 videos didn't help that rumour.

This is a fun conference to keep up with and watch games. Any scrimmage results or how teams look so far?
Well maiden JV played well pretty even with Reagan. JV defense looked well and JV QB and RB looked really good.
Now varsity defense didn't play bad they did score several times but also while rotating players in. But they are deeper and bigger than us. Now on offense we had some good plays but ultimately didn't make the big plays and had struggles along the front. They had studs across the front line on offense and defense and just way deeper and just a different level than us. Reagan will be one of the top teams in 7A.
Their offense runs through that front 5 upfront. There line is huge and strong and creates for the offense. And on defense that front line creates havoc
They have a defensive end that reminds me of Jalon Walker (Salisbury)maybe bigger.
Interesting, have you heard anything on Hickory? Do you know how many returners Hickory has back? Or you just think they are over hyped to win the conference again?
Hickory held their own with East Forsyth and Statesville. HHS had some nice scoring plays both running and passing against EF. Statesville started slow against HHS, but seemed to get stronger the more they were on the field. HHS JV looked very good.

Reagan has 130 kids on JV and varsity. 4 buses arrived with all of them
