The complaints of the last 10+ years have finally been answered - after every year people complain about the numbers being too small to read, it looks like Rutgers and Nike have finally listened - new jersey pics are dropping today and the numbers look giant!

What has changed since last season's uniform shown below? Red and white, with the black outline to the numbers adding a touch of edge and visibility.

I like it.

One concern is Rutgers committed a material breach of its contract with Nike when #47 covered the Nike swoosh on his pants.

Rutgers must act to cure this breach within 30 days or Nike can terminate the contract. Rutgers has a rocky track record with apparel suppliers and should adhere to its Nike contract meticulously.

Doubt that's a breach. Those contracts extend to field of play in official competitions. Sure, this is an official release but...they aren't allowed to wear other brands, but they aren't obligated to make sure the swoosh is never not visible either.

We had a lacrosse player whose feet required special shoes. They had to petition Nike to wear them (NB made them bespoke) but only if the logo was taped over.

Dylan and Ace were sort of ahead of the curve but Rutgers contended our Adidas contract wasn't valid. There will be a player who will go to school and sponsored by another brand, and wear that brand in games. Flagg was a NB athlete at Duke but still wore Nike in games. Someone is going to challenge that. Surprised it hasn't happened already.

That is not a material breach of its contract, it's literally his shirt just covering it in his instagram post and not an official post from the team. I promise you no one cares that much with this case.

I'm like 90% sure these are the same exact uniforms as last year, but I'll ask around.

Thread is starting to go down the Deadbeat Al route when he claimed that player put on 20lbs from a headshot only to be told by his father he hadn’t put on any lol

Will they ever redesign the uniforms or are we keeping the 2020 design for at least as long as Schiano is around? They are not bad but it is probably the most conservative set of uniforms in college football. Could at least bring the white neck collar back

More the level Nike level. They aren't putting their designers on this at Rutgers. We need to move up in stature before that happens. Schiano doesn't like change. I doubt we see any changes until a new coach comes in and wants to distance himself from everything Schiano. Uniforms are always a part of that, unless you are at some iconic program like USC or something.

This board’s obsession with number size is absolutely hysterical. WIN GAMES.. That’s the only ******* thing that matters.
