As I live 15 minutes from Monmouth I fully endorse this idea. :)

But more seriously, I'm happy they are doing this. Monmouth County is SHU country. A Saturday (hopefully afternoon) tip will draw a good crowd.

What type of crowd do you think this gets, in all seriousness?

And do you know or have you heard whether the VCU or BC scrimmages will be available to the public for ticket purchases?

Others have done this the past few years and it seems to be a decent way to generate some revenue if you are drawing a good number for the venue.

If they are scrimmages they will be closed to the public.

if they are exhibitions than they would be open to the public
