PSA: The quality of this board improves dramatically when IronTurd (RIP), Corby, and VHS are on ignore. Every time I unignore them for a quick check-in, I'm reminded why they were muted in the first place. They remind me of sports talk radio hosts, saying anything they can to generate attention and responses. It's not genuine discussion, it's trolling disguised as debate.

I will add this, it's not a secret that Black Knight Invitational is our wrestleoffs now for unsettled spots. We go because clearly the Army coaches are willing to accommodate the brackets for that.

It's a perfect simulation of wrestling a tournament before an official match (even if it doesn't count)

But my point is truth, it’s a soft schedule that prioritizes peaking at the most important tournament of the year. So when you say “who else should he schedule” - you know dang well who he could.

You're right, the schedule is looking a little soft this season. Penn State should replace Iowa with Nebraska to make it tougher. 🤜🏼

I can understand putting Ironburd on ignore. His act has gone stale. For all the white knighting of his team, Corby does bring good info. This is a niche sport and there aren't really that many people talking about it. And vhs is one of the best Iowa posters out there. Clearly at least 83 percentile level.

I concur. I don’t have an issue with either. We complain about them baiting PSU fans, but isn’t that kind of fun when the board is slow? I like hearing their contrarian views. They add a little spice to the chosen topic to fuel the fire in our stomachs.

Forgot to add… no doubt Ironturd blows.

You’re right in your mind only.

You named 3 tournaments, only one of which is any good anymore. CKLV. The other two aren’t any better than an EWL tournament nowadays. Stop living in the past.

So what else did you mention - NDI and a blue blood. The only blue blood not in the Big Ten is Ok State, unless you’re going to count Iowa State which has sucked for about 10 years until last year.

So you are really dressing up a bunch of crap around what I said you were really bitchin about - NDI and OK State.

Nah fam. I didn't even mention Okie state.

Scuffle sucks because Cael dipped. And then created a trend where more schools and less starters are showing up to Holiday tournaments. I'm right because it's true. It's a purposely light schedule that leads to chips. Cael was the first to recognize that in both training and competition, these guys need less because of the mileage they put on prior to enrollment.

I have no issue with anyone talking about a schedule. It is what it is. Penn State guys aren't going to be getting 35-40 matches a year. I think that much is clear. Wrestle your conference schedule which is plenty tough and that is ok.

I can't imagine there is any Penn State fan that wouldn't rather watch them wrestle VaTech or Carolina instead of Oklahoma to start the season. As a fan I want every match to be against OSU, ISU, VaTech etc., but we all know that it isn't going to happen that way for any team.

I personally don't grouse about anyone's schedule good or bad.
