Even though they are down. Hood has done 2 things better than Pope.

1. Challenged the play immediately.
2. Called a timeout before it went on a 10+ run

I hope Pope changes that in year 3

La Familia down 17-9 after 1. Right now it’s a three point shootout and that doesn’t favor La Familia

I wonder if these guys still get paid to participate by the donors for the team/sponsors? Like they still get something even if someone loses? I am asking something separate from the tournament it self.

I haven't watched most of this tourney but has every game looked like two middle age church league teams going at it?

Uk team on pace for like 35 points lol

Pope is lacking in so many areas.

No way should he be head coach of KY basketball.

Just like Kentucky lately get down by 12 early then start forcing shots and missing free throws = losing! This Davis steel team is the first team I’ve seen that stayed hot the whole game. I’ve never heard of any of them.

Just a frustrating game. They hit the side of the backboard on a three that bounces back to them and they hit another three 🤷🏻‍♂️

Guys look tired and can’t hit crap while DS keeps drilling threes. 50-35 now. LaFamilia has too many guys out of shape and no shooters.

Didn't La Familia miss something like 9 straight free throws down the stretch last year against this team in the semifinals? Goodwin had most of them.

Looks like La Familia is going to come up short in this one. Down 47-59 going to the Elam Ending. Target score is 67.

Too many missed free throws and gave up a ton of offensive rebounds. Still a fun couple of weeks. I enjoyed watching WCS one last time

La Familia couldn’t hit a shot if the other team walked off the floor. To many missed free throws, to many forced shots and to many turnovers. Losing to a team on your home floor by a bunch of guys I’ve never heard of. Two million dollars should have been enough motivation to be a little more disciplined, the first quarter we just threw sh— up every time down the floor after missing a bunch of shots.
