I can't even find a current picture online of Beaver Stadium, let alone a depth chart 😂. Basically, everything is exactly the same as it's always been 😂

Also on this date:
45 years ago wifey and I got married. St. Paul's Catholic Church in Princeton NJ.
(We were maybe 8 or 9, if I recall correctly :sneaky: ).

Wifey is Catholic, I am not. Therefore the Monsignor declared us a "mixed marriage" and 'hinted' that he had concerns about that.
At first I thought he meant because Wifey is a Rutgers graduate and was marrying far above that grade with me being a Penn Stater. (Turns out that wasn't the reason, and any jokes about that were not found to be funny).
The good news was that she was already fast becoming fully enamored with all things Penn State, and is to this day. I mean, how could she not?!

Congratulations. Usually, it’s the guy who marries up. I did. 😞

Get ready for ‘Heffelfinger pushing for playing time’ and ‘QB2 is the second coming of Joe Montana’ or my favorite ‘the defense is ahead of the offense’ articles.

Ah summer camp. We are undefeated.

35 days. Campbell is running out of time to get good. 😞

Anyone here tempering their hopelessness with a feeling of excitement? 😞

😞
I don't expect them to be great but I'm hoping to at least see a team that's well coached and looks like they know what they are doing for a change.

I've seen a few videos/articles about the disfunction that was Penn State last year, and apparently had been present at Penn State for many years prior. A refresh will be nice.

We will soon see if Kraft can do anything more than spend someone else's money.
Yes, as the boss, Kraft gets the blame. But is there anyone who doesn't think this was a good hire? I haven't heard that from anyone. I don't think you can say the same for Franklin who was labeled by other coaches as a fraud and phony almost from day one.

I don't remember that-I bet no one else does either. He had just done an amazing turnaround at Vandy and was a hot commodity,

I claimed Franklin was a fraud from day one, only to be wrongfully called a racist for doing so.

Franklin is thankfully gone but I haven’t forgotten the posters who cast those erroneous aspersions.

You were correct in your assessment of Franklin. No need to worry about what others think.
