Anyone else have a child applying right now?
My daughter (oldest) will be a senior this year and the university opened the application process for 2027 at 8:00pm tonight.
here we go!

Yeah they dropped the ball here. We are locked up as well on the last submission as is everyone else.

nobody would care except that the order you get in determines housing priority

We are taking screenshots with the time visible. Not sure if that will help our case.

Mine is also, and this is embarrassing. Didn't this happen last year? If we are going to make a big deal about application time, it might help to not look like a joke in doing so.

Just spoke to the admissions office, and they said to watch their social media for updates on when they have the issue fixed. I asked about priority, and they said they have the data from when each person logged in and started attempting to submit.

It also crashed when the incoming freshmen were registering for parking

I haven’t gotten to the point of a kid needing to apply to schools yet, but is there a benefit to applying as soon as it opens?

Another cluster17 by MSU administration. TikTok is full of people complaining/making fun of State for not being able to manage applications.

Go ahead and think "MSU is so popular it crashed the system" if you'd like, but no one else had major issues, and thousands of schools use Ellucian. Stop accepting mediocrity - on all the As - athletics, admission, administration, academics.

On this one in particular, my daughter was scrolling and I heard the fight song and I asked what that was about and she said “everyone is making fun of state for botching the application last night”
