I'm curious if we'll hear stories of programs cutting their lower tier players to make room for these guys. It's a business and these guys are pros now, so I couldn't really blame a coach for doing it.

Pope and asset utilization is super hard to read. Like if you recall we essentially went after no top transfers in the early window. Then all of a sudden we have an additional 5+ mill laying around after already spending 20+? Just doesn’t add up to me. But it could be completely true and Pope just has no direction.
If he truly has the money, an addition like Mitchell probably guarantees the level of team that guarantees Pope a year 4
Well, you know, technically Oweh did not “enter” the draft. Because seniors with expiring eligibility don’t have to officially declare, they’re just automatically presumed draft eligible, whether they like it or not.
I am curious what this means for senior second round picks like Oweh, Braden Smith, Richie Saunders, Emanuel Sharp, Bryce Hopkins, Kauffman-Renn, Tyler Nickel, etc. They didn’t voluntarily choose to leave college, and they weren’t first rounders so they’re not yet bound to guaranteed contracts and aren’t yet part of an NBA roster. So, by the logic of this ruling, it seems like they should also now be allowed to return to college.

I'd go with a starting 3 who can shoot and create and rebound well from his position. Put Momcilovic at the 4. Defense/rebounding may suffer some but score 90-100 and see if anyone can keep up.

Could not have said it better. This generally penalizes programs and coaches that secured full rosters within the rules. It has become an utter **** show, and an embarassment.
Torres came out and suggest the vast majority of these players are not winning players because any winning 2022 would be pro already, yet there are names like McDaniels, Reneau, Mitchell, Dent, etc out there.
I bet most land in the lawless SEC with the usual suspects like LSU, Auburn and Ole Miss, who all have ample roster spots. It's amazing how the majority of crooks and slimeballs sit in the SEC (Oats, Wade, Beard, Golden).
If Braden Smith comes back, this season is the CBB version of idiocracy. Flush the season in the toilet and call it a reality TV Show.
