Well, you know, technically Oweh did not “enter” the draft. Because seniors with expiring eligibility don’t have to officially declare, they’re just automatically presumed draft eligible, whether they like it or not.
I am curious what this means for senior second round picks like Oweh, Braden Smith, Richie Saunders, Emanuel Sharp, Bryce Hopkins, Kauffman-Renn, Tyler Nickel, etc. They didn’t voluntarily choose to leave college, and they weren’t first rounders so they’re not yet bound to guaranteed contracts and aren’t yet part of an NBA roster. So, by the logic of this ruling, it seems like they should also now be allowed to return to college.
