The SEC/ESPN hype machine continues. Each of the 16 teams has a Top 20 Strength of Schedule?

SEC pissing and moaning that they have to make the same concessions to their schedules that the rest of us have to do.

Like we do with having Iowa State on the schedule every year and not being able to either schedule another P4 team (or more likely another MAC school for that home game revenue)............

Tough sh**.

How many of those sec week #11 games against FCS schools will get full blown coverage on ESecPN family of networks?

Having a television network own a football conference leads to all kinds of corruption. This trickles down to influencing officiating, coaching hires, bowl matchups, etc….espn owns, controls, manages the sec and it’s a huge conflict of interest.

Lololol, SO, its just now going to 9 games in conf per year(what the B1Gs been doing for awhile), and THATS the reason? Pfff.. And like the lesser teams are that much better in their league. Lost a bit of respect for the PMac show and my Iowa guy for not calling this clueless pretty face out for that sniffling. At least she's nice to look at ......

Schedule a historical bottom feeder P4 non conference opponent, pound your chest about your conference’s record against the P4, schedule 4 non conference games to inflate everyone’s record by 1 win, allowing very average teams to sneak into the top 25, brag about how deep your conference is, get your *** kicked in bowl games when you get matched up with even opponents, dismiss it as “bowl games don’t matter and all our starters sat out.”

Rinse and repeat. That’s been the strategy for over 20 years now… They actually were the best for a long time, but the gap was never as big as they made it out to be. Their depth was never as good as they claimed.

They will be in for a rude awakening without that 4th non con game inflating the records of their mid and low tier teams.

Gosh, I wish there was actually some way to measure Big Ten vs. SEC in a less abstract way, like say head-to-head data.

Oh, wait...

2025 Big Ten 4-3
2024 Big Ten 6-4
2023 Big Ten 2-4
2022 Big Ten 2-3
2021 Big Ten 2-3
Since NIL Big Ten 16-16

There's so much deep-fried delusion down there it's as funny as it is pathetic. They literally have nothing else so the fact that they're no longer the best college football conference is driving them insane. Lol.

SEC... "It just means more"

Also SEC... "Well bowl games don't mean anything"

Lol.

You can’t have a sports network owning/financing a football conference without a rotten conflict of interest.

Who do you leave out of the CFP??? ;)

ESPN lost all credibility and still do with their idiotic FPI ranking metric. In 19’ after they finished undefeated and one of the most dominate teams of last decade loaded with talent it still didn’t have LSU as #1 led by Joe burrow his sr year.
