Orange County, TX — A Louisiana woman accused in a Jefferson County revenge porn case has been arrested on a separate Orange County warrant and could face additional prison time if prosecutors succeed in revoking her deferred adjudication.
According to authorities, 40-year-old Jessica Janell Crawford, who also uses the last name Shelton, was arrested Saturday night outside a restaurant in Bridge City after someone recognized her and contacted police. The Orange County warrant was issued July 10 and alleges Crawford violated the conditions of her bond in two unrelated Orange County cases involving Violating a Protective Order and Harassment.
Orange County District Attorney Krispen Walker Winfree has said Crawford will be held without bond pending a court hearing. Prosecutors are seeking to impose guilt in the earlier cases, which could result in a sentence of up to 10 years in prison on the protective order charges and up to two years in state jail on the harassment charge.
In the Jefferson County case, Crawford is accused of unlawfully sending explicit photos and a video depicting herself and a former boyfriend to the man’s current girlfriend. She was arrested on that state jail felony charge and released on bond on July 9 before the Orange County warrant was issued. If convicted in the Jefferson County case, Crawford could face up to two years in state jail for Unlawful Disclosure or Promotion of Intimate Visual Material.
