WNBA: when the ladies are in charge

The league posted, and then quickly deleted, a video to its official X page showing Angel Reese and Paige Bueckers making a $400 wager on which players' team would win that night. Keeping mind, league rules expressly forbid players from betting on league games. The league posted this video. Of players actively violating league rules.

Not to mention the Seattle Storm`s co-owner who called Sophie Cunningham`s fans "******* insane" for agreeing with her that boys shouldn`t be playing on girls teams - common sense. Some adult got in these two teenage girls faces also & said they needed to "take the trash out." Co-owner Keaton can`t go to their next 5 home games - wow some punishment huh. All the girls were doing was supporting Sophie when Indiana played at Seattle. Absolutely disgusting. Co-owner Keaton should have to give up her share of the team - some role model for young women. I didn`t like Sophie when she played vs. us at Missouri but she is great! One of the few to publicly speak out to protect girls. Like a previous poster said, I wish some male pro basketball player would say he is "trans" and insist he needs to play in the WNBA. I wonder if any of these woke women would change their minds at that point. Would be rather amusing to see a couple of those join the league - what could they do to stop it?

It was done in weight lifting. A dude pretended to be a girl, entered a weight lifting competition, won everything, then went on the net talking about how stupid it was.

That was not a popular enough sport though. If it happened in the wnba, it would be ratings gold, and very funny.

Gambling and sports wagering and wagering on all kinds of things (virtually everything) have become much more common. There is even one

Congress can't even ban this stuff and almost all those folks, including the president are making money off being in office. I don't think most people really care that much.

With conflicts of interest being very common these days in business, in government, in all aspects of life, I am not sure that in future years this will be banned. Probably attempts at control of some kind will be attempted- maybe limits on how much players can bet on a game, etc.

Unless it was intentionally done as a joke. Did it look put on?

As for changing the rules? I think you have to be a particular flavor of dense to think players betting on their games is acceptable.

Who needs drastic surgery? As i mentioned above, its been done in another sport already, and the dude "switched back" after the competition.

No one needs surgery if reality is just based on our feelings that day.
