DISTRICTS

Girls District Golf Tournaments will be held October 5-6, 2026.

CLASS A
Class A schools are those with combined (boys + girls) enrollments of 850 students or more. Teams in Class A will be assigned to one of four districts. Schools will be assigned using a serpentine method based on seeding determined by regular season team scoring average differentials.

Team average differentials are team score (four lowest players' combined score) minus (course rating from tees used x four players) = differential.

The school with the lowest average differential is placed in District 1, the next lowest in District 2, the next lowest in District 3, etc. in a serpentine method until all schools are assigned.

The top three teams and the top 10 individuals (plus ties) in each district will qualify for the Girls State Golf Championships. After districts are completed, the NSAA will take as many individuals as needed so that there is a total of 15 individuals competing at the state golf tournament. Individuals will be selected according to individual differential for the season, including districts. To be eligible, a player must compete in at least five 18-hole competitions for the year and districts. Any ties for a team qualifying spot for the state championships will use a playoff.

CLASS B
Schools with a Top 64 girls enrollment but a total enrollment of less than 850 students will be placed into Class B and will be assigned to one of four districts. Teams will be assigned to a district using a serpentine method based on seeding determined by regular season team scoring average differentials using the team's best/lowest 3 differential team scores.

CLASS C
The remaining schools playing girls golf will be placed into Class C. Class C schools will be placed into five districts on a geographic basis starting with schools out west and working east until districts are full. North to South consideration may be used to reduce travel to a district.

The top three teams and the top 10 individuals (plus ties) will qualify for the State Championships. A playoff will be used if there is a tie for the final team qualifying spot.

With them opting up to A, did that move the top C team into B? Or did nothing change from that aspect?
No.

The largest 64 schools in the state are placed into Classes A and B. Those with total enrollments of 850+ are placed into A, and the remainder into B. The schools outside of the top 64 are in Class C. Standing Bear, moving into Class A changes nothing for C as they were already one of the top 64 schools.
