NCAA really slow walking international players eligibility decisions according to The Athletic. Rules thought to be fully immpleted for ‘27/’28 are being implemented now, ie how much guys were paid overseas (“actual and necessary expenses”) and where they played. Plus eligibility issues for fall sports take precedence over winter sports. Even guys like Ellis from SJ still have not been cleared despite all the fanfare.

So Marino and Petrovic are stuck in the log jam. Might take into the Fall semester. What I don’t understand is that if Petrovic played at Illinois last season, why does he have to be cleared again this year?
