SHU secures an OOC home date with UNC Greensboro

Shu needs a game between 11.6 and 11.10 and something before Thanksgiving and something right after...expect home filler slop
I would love for 2 or the last 3 that aren't scheduled to be legitimate OOC opponents.
Probably lucky if 1 is a legit opponent. 6 cupcakes has been the norm the last 3 years.
We probably could arrange a game with Syracuse, as their new coach is trying to re-establish old rivalries with former Big East foes.
Penn State is not too far away and a team we've played some series with in the past. They're never much good, but high major.
Maryland seems like another good out of conference foe, if they would be willing to schedule with us.
I've been saying for years we should look to play Syracuse in MSG or Brooklyn. Both schools would bring a lot of fans to fill the arena to make it a nice revenue neutral site game.
3 of our local rivals seized the opportunity. Rutgers will play Cuse at Barclays Center, St. John's at MSG and Providence will play them at a neutral site in Boston at the TD Garden.
It’s actually been awhile since we have played a neutral site game in MSG. Under Willard he started making it a priority. Hopefully we get back to that.
Rutgers Cuse at Barclays will be a good judge as to whether Cuse still draws since they’ve fallen off.
The MSG game with SJU will have a big crowd because of how hot a ticket SJU has become under Pitino plus the Cuse faithful will show in some way at MSG, a place they’ve historically filled up, especially with how many alums are in the area.
Barclays and Rutgers though? Not sure. In the older days you could count on the Cuse fanatics to show and perhaps make up for a Rutgers deficiency because I’m not sure how RU will draw in that building.
If that game has a good crowd we absolutely should aim for Cuse at Barclays.

Rocco Miller who posted about the UNCG game has also posted that the Baha Mar tournament is having a problem getting a 4th team .

Wonder if not playing Wagner this year, believe we have played them for at least the last 5 years in a row, if not more.
Monmouth, FDU should be always, along with SPU and NJIT. I'd go if we played NJIT there; never seen a game there.
Would love to see a game v a Big 5 (6) at the Palestra. Easy trip and a winnable road game, though not a cupcake.
If you’re gonna play a mid major in Philly, just play them at their own place. The Palestra would not be considered a road game, it would be neutral site. With the way the NET works a road win is gold
