I am very solid at cribbage. Don’t make a lot of mistakes. Play the odds well when it’s my crib and not my crib and uh, well, I am a great pegger

What board game(s) do you think that you'd have a good chance of beating the other HPOTers at?

I've got two: Backgammon and Stratego. I think I'd have a good chance winning at both vs the posters in here.

Note: I will say that my inclusion of Backgammon is at least partly because I feel it's an older-school game that I don't think many people play any more. It's possible that there's some old-timer in here with their own carved pieces that have been worn out over the decades that could wax me. I like my odds overall though.

Whatcha got?
Did you ever play Acie-Duecie? Never really cared for backgammon although I played alot.

I'll take anyone on in cribbage and will work you like a red headed stepchild. Euchre as well (although not a board game).

My brother was a board gamer, had 40 or 50 board games, and played once a week as part of a club.

Exactly.

In law school, my roomie and the three guys downstairs (two from undergrad) used to play until the wee hours. The fifth guy played football at Montana state and was a notorious cheater with sleight of hand when removing armies. Then again when he was an undergrad and he his buddies got hungry, they used to rustle a cow from the open range, so who was I to call him on it?
Did this on the hall in undergrad. Had a ridiculously long game going over weeks. Love Risk.

Monopoly because I'm great with risking fake money. Too conservative to actually pull the trigger and make actual risky investments.

Missed out on a chance at 160 acres selling for $750 an acre in the early 2000s with about 20 acres in crops. The rest was a creek and timber.
