The uniform with the white helmet, garnet jersey and white pants is the prettiest one of all to me.***

I always thought they we're trying to look like us! I always been a fan of the all whites, just a clean look, but I've never opposed any combination.

They need to pick a uniform combo for home and away and stick with it. If someone is flipping through games and sees Bama, Penn State, Texas, UGA or Michigan, they immediately know what team is playing. If SC is playing, there is a different uniform for every game and no identity.

Michigan, Alabama, Penn State, Texas, and Georgia are famous because those are the 1st, 3rd, 4th, 7th, and 9th winningest programs in college football history.

Michigan does the same thing we do. They mix and match jerseys and pants of their school colors.

Georgia has a history of different uniform combinations.

I'm good with any of our three colors for helmets, jerseys, and pants. What I don't like is mixing the garnet and black. If a garnet jersey, the pants and helmet should be garnet or white. If a black jersey, the helmet and pants should be black or white. The black-garnet-black or garnet-black-garnet look is too busy.

And, of course, the script "Carolina" should be banned from the stadium.

I think the black jersey at UGA is the only different uniform item used in the last 20 years or so. There is about a 99% chance UGA will have red jerseys/silver pants/red helmets at home and white jerseys/silver pants/red helmets on the road.

Your post brings up a good point. The winningest teams don't feel a need to have some sort of fashion show every week. The teams that aren't winners need that "fake juice" to fire up the team and fans.

You conveniently ignore the fact that the winningest program of all time (Michigan) does the exact same thing we do with their uniforms and school colors.

The 2nd winningest program of all time (Ohio State) wears complete alternate uniforms regularly, something neither Michigan or South Carolina does.

The 5th winningest program of all time, and possibly the most iconic brand in all of college sports, (Notre Dame) also wears alternate uniforms regularly.

Oklahoma (6) and Tennessee (11) uses alternate uniforms and color combinations as well.

If we take Georgia out since they do typically wear red/white and silver these days, 40% of the top ten winningest programs of all time routinely wear multiple combinations and alternate looks. If we include Georgia that's 50% of the best programs.

Michigan NEVER wears any other helmet than their traditional winged helmet. Ohio State wears scarlet jerseys and silver pants at home and white jerseys and silver pants on the road 90% of the time. Notre Dame wears their navy jerseys and gold pants at home and white jerseys and gold pants on the road 90+% of the time. OU wears crimson jerseys and white pants at home and white jerseys and white pants on the road 90% of the time.

I'd throw Tennessee in with SC as a team desperate for some sort of outside motivation. They have managed to lose in every conceivable uniform combination over the last 25 years.

A team wearing an alternate uniform once a year doesn't equate to a team (South Carolina) where the uniform combination is one of the high points of fan discussion each week.

Do you go on the other teams' message boards to determine what they talk about?

Michigan wears the helmet, but they mix and match white, blue, and maize jerseys and pants. There's no longer any one single home or away combination, which had been maize and blue at home and maize and white at home for decades.

Here's an official announcement from Ohio State about their uniform combinations this year, far more variety than just a single home and away uniform.

Here's a Reddit thread devoted to a discussion about Irish fans' favorite ND uniform combination.

And here's one of the two alternate uniforms Oklahoma wore last year, which (of course) is not even in a school color. They also had a throwback/alternate helmet.

We have the best color combination in college sports, imo. We should use all of the combinations we have been using - Nike doesn`t need to change that they already have tinkered with the garnet. I love all of the different combos, also all white, all black and all garnet.

Georgia announced they would wear these all-white uniforms against Western Kentucky.

They look ridiculous, and, who wears white at home?
LSU, Georgia Tech, and now apparently Georgia.

These uniforms were used as motivation for Georgia fans to increase NIL support.
