A little off topic but INDIANA

Just curious on what my Hawkeye brothers think how Indiana will do in 2026? I would like to think they won’t be as good but pretty steady maybe a few losses this season as it’s nearly impossible to repeat undefeated seasons 2 years in a row but then again they have only loss 2 games in the last 2 seasons. Thoughts? What do you think and how their record will turn out this coming season.

Well they have a very favorable schedule. Ohio St at home, USC at home. They’re at Michigan and at Washington which I guess would be their toughest road games but we have no idea how those teams are going to be. We know Ciggy is a helluva coach, and looking at that schedule I’d say maybe 1-2 losses at most that I can see?

I doubt the will be national champs again, but they have built a solid foundation and should continue to be a force to be reckoned with. They have money, and a great coach.

I figure they will be 10-2.

Indiana depends on Hoover, if Cig makes him a mistake free , efficient qb like the last two they’ve had, pencil them in for the final four teams in the playoffs. If Hoover is the same guy as last year, expect a drop off in IUs performance.

I say fire them from the Big Ten and force them to give their best players to us to help us win a national championship.

I dont know how many great players like Mendoza that they lost but I think it is a good amount. If their new paid for gunslinger QB is really good then that will help. Ciggy had two really good to great QBs the last two years.

Do they reload or have to rebuild for a year or so. It looks like they have a pretty easy schedule but IU's home field wont bother OSU and they play Mich later in the year which gives UM a chance to iron out the new coaches plans. I wouldnt count on USC to beat them in Indy and USC coach cant coach defense. Wash could handle them
