Glad he’s back. Better than our other alternatives at this point. If he’s engaged, he’s fairly good.

They’re both so stacked.
149 has Henson, SVN, Valencia, and Vega. 3 champs there plus SVN, a finalist and 2x AA.
157 has Robideau, Taylor, Kasak, and every AA from last season. Probably going to have 10-12 returning AA in this weight class plus at least a couple champs.
I hope Block stays 149 because it’s a bit easier, but hopefully they both go where they wrestle best.
That's what I think as well. My understanding is he does not have the academics to even be on the team among other things.....We shall see.

Glad he is back in or staying in (whatever). Look forward to seeing what he can do in his last year. Not sure what was going on last year but he has sure looked more confident in his ability this summer.
No one, and I mean no one, has earned anything yet. This is a new year and if you haven't honed your skills then the best guy wrestles. If Ryder beats Williams, and everyone else in wrestle offs and direct competition then the spot is his. Not until that happens. That goes for every weight on our team.
I'm looking as forward to seeing this as much as I am seeing A.J. Ferrari opening up a Student Driving Center.

If Williams is an English Major, then he will be just fine with Academic eligibility at Iowa.
He’s flashing some of the money we wasted on him last year. I hope he’s truly committed this time around!

I’m saying it’s a fake picture, imo. The matter would be misrepresentation of the truth by an anonymous actor.
Could have been an issue with grades or conduct. As a coach, you should encourage your guy to give himself options if it didn’t go well for him either of the two categories at Iowa. That meant entering the portal just in case. He worked hard and did well in freestyle. Let’s hope he uses it as a springboard.
I agree with not ignoring the last year. Comment made was just a cheap shot and unnecessary.
