Looks like nice progress since the last practice highlights, Gotta be tough getting so many players learning the offense, Gonna be a work in progress. Layla looks more fluid, Less robotic. Excited about what Journey will bring to the floor this year. Also like seeing how hands on Jan is when we see these practice videos.

Agree. I think Layla will be able to give Ava some rest this year without being a real issue. Will probably be a real key for the team if that happens.

Watching the Journey reps, some good things going on for her. Year two might be a jump.
Woliczko's baseline drive was nice-- fluid drive for 6'2.
Stremlow doing Stremlow things.
Didn't notice much Chit-Chat. Is that my own glitch, or was she sitting out?

Jan said she has been bothered by shoulder injury.

Oh, bummer. Hope she gets past that. The smaller roster becomes really vulnerable with injuries. Hope they can stay healthy.
You're right there. Luckily its just July and if she was bad she probably wouldn't have been dressed. She did take part in some of the scrimmage, on the last clip I believe

The clip below from yesterday is the type of stuff we're hoping to see from Journey as a progression from PF to a SF/PF hybrid - attacking from the perimeter with ball handling and finishing. The inside hand finish coming off of a spin move against Stremlow was really nice - just hoping she could switch to her outside left hand in some situations (using inside hand sometimes means you don't have an outside weak hand finish haha - like me).

But in general having a respectable 3 point shot as a spacer and then being able to attack from the 3 point line either off of actions like this (screens, handoffs, etc) or off of hard close outs and having finishing options is exactly what she needs as a true SF. Saw these in HS, didn't see them last year, so the question was whether the HS skills translated to this level and if she could improve upon them.
