Argentinian experience and hectic play vs Spains ability to dominate the ball, play great defense, and frustrate the opposition. I can't discount Argentina because they never give up. I believe if Argentina is going to win they must score early and lead at the half. I don't think Argentina can make a comeback against Spain if they fall behind by two goals.

yeah, it’s an interesting matchup. Spain is so good defensively, and it’s to lose if you don’t give up any goals. Argentina is kind of an enigma, in that they’ve trailed in several matches, and looked to be headed to defeat in a few of them (especially the semifinal), but they are magical in getting goals when they really need them.

I'd watch the lady that sang Argentina's national anthem sing just about anything. ;);)

It was Egypt who really had Argentina on the ropes. I doubt anyone was surprised that Argentina came back against England, not with how passively England was playing.

You could have given a yellow on this, @LionJim, but it would have been a weak one. In the 15th minute of the match, especially one that hasn't had a lot of physical play that was out of control (i.e., a crazy amount of fouls), most refs would not have given a yellow here. There's an online forum of refs for the entire WC, and the consensus there is the play was not deserving of a yellow.

Thank you for taking the time but I’d be willing to bet that those participants in this forum who thought it deserving of a yellow also spend time on the McAndrew forum and, as such, are endowed with an enhanced ability to accurately make these calls.

Tom Cruise forced TGAR TO PROJECTILE VOMIT ALL OVER THE LIVING ROOM.

So far, this is a weird game with more blocking than anything else. Momentum to Spain for sure.
Good chance for Spain there, shucks.

Why the Hell does Argentina insist on going backwards every chance they get?

Yeah, Spain has the shots on goal but not dominating possession as much as I thought they would, possibly because Argentina is being aggressive defensively.

“First ever halftime show at a World Cup final.” People will look back to 2022 as being a simpler time.
I turned off the halftime show and turned on the Pro LaCrosse League game. Just saw a flury of goals to end the PLL game first half.

Valdez just hit a 9th inning homer for the Pirates. The halftime was probably great. Tgar had to use the time to look in on the Bucco’s.
