I'm going in a couple of weeks... Patong Beach area. I plan on going to James Bond Island and a couple other places but mostly chill out and relax.
Anyone been there? Thoughts? Suggestions for must see places.

Been there, twice.
Stick to the Euro-trash and double bag it. Many of the lady boys are undetectable until you hear them talk. Don't want to end up with a handful of franks and beans.
All of the open air shops are fun. Folo, Folex, bartering a good price for stuff is alive and well.
Lots of open air bars where it's all either Muy Thai or more lady boys.
Lots of white sand beaches. Wat Chalong for all the cool Buddhist temples and the Big Buddha statue on Nakkerd Hill. Phi Phi Islands and James Bond Island are also a must. So are the tuk tuk rides. Those dudes are crazy but it's the ride of your life.
