I'm not either. Faulting him for that is high school nonsense. He is a true wildcat to me. He was thrust into a position i doubt he expected when the season started. He would have been foolish to pass up a top 5 pick in the draft. Anything could have happened at UK had he stayed good or bad. He made the only decision he could.I wish he’d have stayed at UK…won a championship, and became the all time leading scorer in school history. So stupid that we fans sully his legacy due to the fact that he left early and wore that Arkansas t-shirt. Full disclosure…I’m one of the fans who’s butt hurt by it. Good kid who’s made $$$. I’ll never think of him as a true WILDCAT, but good for him
It’s funny that Sheppard would have been the best defender Pope ever coached had he stayed. And defense is what’s holding him back in the NBA.He wouldn't have won anything if he stayed. Pope is the coach.
Does that mean we haven’t had any true wildcats since around 2017?I wish he’d have stayed at UK…won a championship, and became the all time leading scorer in school history. So stupid that we fans sully his legacy due to the fact that he left early and wore that Arkansas t-shirt. Full disclosure…I’m one of the fans who’s butt hurt by it. Good kid who’s made $$$. I’ll never think of him as a true WILDCAT, but good for him
Are we pretending Lamont Butler didn't play here? It’s funny that Sheppard would have been the best defender Pope ever coached had he stayed. And defense is what’s holding him back in the NBA.
I’m sure you’d pass up millions of dollars too. People like you are hypocrites. I bet you’d leave your job for a $10k raise but say negative things over him leaving for millions.I wish he’d have stayed at UK…won a championship, and became the all time leading scorer in school history. So stupid that we fans sully his legacy due to the fact that he left early and wore that Arkansas t-shirt. Full disclosure…I’m one of the fans who’s butt hurt by it. Good kid who’s made $$$. Uh, yeah, that's ridiculous. He wouldn't have helped that S16 team win at least another game or three? He wouldn't have helped last years team, which was pretty good, IMMENSELY, considering he could play the point, which was our black hole, and bump DA to the two and make CC 6th man? And what would he mean to this years team? We would have the TWO best shooters in college basketball. Your Pope hate is embarrassingHe wouldn't have won anything if he stayed. Pope is the coach.
Every effing thread…….about ANYTHING.He wouldn't have won anything if he stayed. Pope is the coach.
I never know what to think about a guy wearing a hat while he lifts or works out. That said, Reed looks JACKED here. He's gonna be a solid NBA player if he can figure out a way to defend. He's too good offensively not to stick.
Reed couldn't guard me and i'm 73. The only thing he could was jump passing lanes. He's an awful on ball defender. It’s funny that Sheppard would have been the best defender Pope ever coached had he stayed. And defense is what’s holding him back in the NBA.
All-SEC and multiple National Freshman of the Year awards mean nothing to you either? Can’t really see or think about him without thinking “Oakland.” That’s his Kentucky legacy. The nba means nothing to me.
Maybe if UK had treated him better he might have considered staying but truthfully he had to take the big money.I'm not either. Faulting him for that is high school nonsense. He is a true wildcat to me. He was thrust into a position i doubt he expected when the season started. He would have been foolish to pass up a top 5 pick in the draft. Anything could have happened at UK had he stayed good or bad. He made the only decision he could.
Probably be more believable had he not worn the Arkansas shirt (and albeit UK shorts with it), to show he still supported Cal. Beings that Cal was the one who sat him on the bench when the games started and deferred to lesser players contributing to his not so great experience.Maybe if UK had treated him better he might have considered staying but truthfully he had to take the big money.
I’m sure sitting on the bench when the games started and deferring to lesser players had to suck. Not a great experience.
And you mean nothing to the multi millionaire kid from London. Can’t really see or think about him without thinking “Oakland.” That’s his Kentucky legacy. The nba means nothing to me.
Pretty much nothing you ever post makes any sense but what on earth does wearing a hat have to do with anything?I never know what to think about a guy wearing a hat while he lifts or works out. That said, Reed looks JACKED here. He's gonna be a solid NBA player if he can figure out a way to defend. He's too good offensively not to stick.
Are you stupid? It’s funny that Sheppard would have been the best defender Pope ever coached had he stayed. And defense is what’s holding him back in the NBA.
If Pope got players like him he would have eventually won. Reed would have crushed so hard as a sophomore and junior. I’d love to see him get more opportunities in March for sure. Tough that he had to leave because his spot was so good.He wouldn't have won anything if he stayed. Pope is the coach.
Dude couldn’t find anything negative to say about Reed but felt obligated and made something up. Then tried to walk it back by saying Reed has potential to stick in the NBA.Pretty much nothing you ever post makes any sense but what on earth does wearing a hat have to do with anything?
Not crazy, a handful of the players from cals last team would be popes best player ever lolAre you stupid?
This is a ludicrous statement that makes you sound like an ignorant fool. It’s funny that Sheppard would have been the best defender Pope ever coached had he stayed.
