What happened to that kid from London. He seems kinda serious.

I wish he’d have stayed at UK…won a championship, and became the all time leading scorer in school history. So stupid that we fans sully his legacy due to the fact that he left early and wore that Arkansas t-shirt. Full disclosure…I’m one of the fans who’s butt hurt by it. Good kid who’s made $$$. I’ll never think of him as a true WILDCAT, but good for him

I'm not either. Faulting him for that is high school nonsense. He is a true wildcat to me. He was thrust into a position i doubt he expected when the season started. He would have been foolish to pass up a top 5 pick in the draft. Anything could have happened at UK had he stayed good or bad. He made the only decision he could.

Does that mean we haven’t had any true wildcats since around 2017?

I’m sure you’d pass up millions of dollars too. People like you are hypocrites. I bet you’d leave your job for a $10k raise but say negative things over him leaving for millions.

He wouldn't have won anything if he stayed. Pope is the coach.
Uh, yeah, that's ridiculous. He wouldn't have helped that S16 team win at least another game or three? He wouldn't have helped last years team, which was pretty good, IMMENSELY, considering he could play the point, which was our black hole, and bump DA to the two and make CC 6th man? And what would he mean to this years team? We would have the TWO best shooters in college basketball. Your Pope hate is embarrassing

Maybe if UK had treated him better he might have considered staying but truthfully he had to take the big money.

I’m sure sitting on the bench when the games started and deferring to lesser players had to suck. Not a great experience.

Probably be more believable had he not worn the Arkansas shirt (and albeit UK shorts with it), to show he still supported Cal. Beings that Cal was the one who sat him on the bench when the games started and deferred to lesser players contributing to his not so great experience.

He was never going to turn down lottery money to stay at UK, even if Pope is his Dad's best friend and his Godfather. The connection doesn't get much closer. No ill will towards the young man. Thanks for your time, however brief it was. But I don't think UK was bad to him.

I never know what to think about a guy wearing a hat while he lifts or works out. That said, Reed looks JACKED here. He's gonna be a solid NBA player if he can figure out a way to defend. He's too good offensively not to stick.
Pretty much nothing you ever post makes any sense but what on earth does wearing a hat have to do with anything?

If Pope got players like him he would have eventually won. Reed would have crushed so hard as a sophomore and junior. I’d love to see him get more opportunities in March for sure. Tough that he had to leave because his spot was so good.

Reed is impressive. Loved him at UK. I have never seen a player make a mistake and then immediately make up for that mistake in someone like Reed. His work ethic to be a pro is also impressive. Sad to see him go to the NBA, as I really don’t have a ton of interest, but always happy to see his work pay off.

It’s funny that Sheppard would have been the best defender Pope ever coached had he stayed.
This is a ludicrous statement that makes you sound like an ignorant fool.

Sheppard was a crappy defender even at UK. He did have a special knack for jumping lanes to get steals, but he sucked at actually guarding people. There’s a reason that 24 season was just about the worst defensive UK team ever, our guards (especially Shep) didn’t do much actual guarding.

To suggest he was a better defender than a Pope guard like Lamont Butler is idiotic.
