SIAP, I don't have access to Kyle's updated list. Updating my own list today. . . .

Hard to tell who Iowa is still actively pursuing in the ‘27 class beyond Nation Williams and Mya Wilson, both of whom officially visited. Wilson also expected (according to Gopher beat writer) to commit somewhere in July.

With 5-in-5 eligibility, ‘27 class less critical given remaining eligibility of current Iowa roster.

This ends my updates on 2027 recruits.

Found no updates for the following 2 lists:
Best IA Interest Remaining:
Mya Wilson (In Top 4 and most likely Top 2 according to @o_AMAYS)
Nation Williams (Still some buzz here)
Destiny Manyawu (Spent her Bday on an UVisit to the Hawks. Don't think you spend your Bday with a team not high on your list)

Don't hear much on:
Ivanna Wilson-Manyacka
Khalia Hartwell
Harper Dunn
Brookeslee Colvin

Others I've already posted updates on today don't sound likely at least at this point. As stated by others with the possibly of our top core players hangin around for 3 more years, I also don't see a big class. Probably at most Jada Seubert and 1 more of the 3 listed above with interest.

Madeline Mignery (6'1" SF) (FL) 4 Star (#40 ESPN) 5 Star (#24 JRAS) (#25 PN) (#26 PGH) (#28 247S)
6/21/26 - Set 6 OVs: UNC, FL, LSU, Clemson, Stanford & IN
Doesn't specify a Top 6 List but it doesn't look the best for us.

Destiny Manyawu recruitment also very quiet this summer.

Iowa mens team has had several of those in the last few years/ Mulvey did that under Fran as did Trey Thompson last year. He should have been in high school last year as well

Mulvey just went back to the class he was supposed to be in...he was 19 before his freshman season at Iowa started.

Thompson was a legit re-classify...he was only 17 when last year started.

Regardless of his age did Mulvey not graduate early as in he was not a senior and was supposed to be in high school another year. I wasn't basing it on age. Hell Deal was 20, or almost when she got to Iowa, but she still just finished her senior year in high school.....

Any word when Mya is visiting TCU this month? I believe that is her final visit. Keeping my fingers crossed that she's a Hawk.

Nation Williams is playing this week in the U17 World Cup for the USA. Just completed group play, going 3-0 against Ivory Coast (117-24), Australia (74-72), and Latvia (105-53). Williams leads the team in blocks, is 2nd in rebounding (and 2nd in OR), and 3rd in steals. It's just 3 games, but Williams has struggled to score the ball in all 3 games, and especially against the 1 good opponent to date:

Talia Goodman reports on official visits for Colvin, no Iowa.

“Top 2027 recruit Brookeslee Colvin remains open in her recruitment and is in the process of taking official visits, she told Rivals. The 5-8 point guard from Coeur D’Alene (ID) has visited Cal and Indiana so far with other official visits set to TCU, North Carolina, Michigan and Virginia.”

Had no idea she was on the 2027 offer list. She made two ranking lists.

Sienna Williams (6'3" SF) (CO) 4 Star (#44 PN) (#64 ESPN)

Some decent highlight videos on YouTube, Good size, Decent mobility, Nice stroke from 3, Quick search showed 17-42 from 3 so she could be a true stretch 4. Looks like she has nice physicality on the interior.

These scoring number do not worry me and I doubt they discourage the staff. Love to get Williams!
Watched a little of the U17 World Cup, with the USA winning gold today. Nation Williams is a stat sheet stuffer who plays hard. For the US squad, she was 6th in minutes played, but led the team in rebounding (including O boards), steals and blocks. She is a real force on the floor. Hope she chooses Iowa. Still, her shooting is a work-in-progress. She was 7th in scoring for the US squad, and struggled to shoot the ball efficiently:

old wrestler here….. don’t know diddly about basketball but it’s always seemed like Jan coached bigs are very efficient scorers around the basket…….

I’m old enough to remember 6 on 6 ball and they only had two dribbles and watching the Hawk bigs Jans coached I’ve always wondered if her experience in the 6 on 6 game has influenced the way she coaches…..in a positive way

Long way of saying if anyone can get the most out of Nation I bet Jan could

and made them wear skorts like the old days 🤣 I wonder if 6 on 6 was unique to Iowa? I remember as a kid my Grandma loved watching the girls tournament every year!

Six-on-six girls basketball—a fast-paced game where three designated offensive and three defensive players were restricted from crossing the half-court line—was most famously played in Iowa, which held the tradition until 1993. Several other states also utilized this format for high school girls, including Oklahoma, Texas, Maryland, and New Jersey. [1, 2, 3, 4]
The six-on-six format was originally designed under the belief that running the full court was physically too strenuous for women. The states phased out the rule at different times as five-on-five basketball became standard: [1, 2, 3, 4]
    • New Jersey: Phased it out by 1975.
    • Texas: Played until 1978.
    • Iowa: The last major sanctioning body to abandon the variant, playing its final six-on-six game in 1993.
    • Oklahoma: Officially phased out all six-on-six by 1996.

Interesting ….thanks for that…. I always thought it was more of an Iowa tradition than a national one…

I think she only had three offers from schools in her "Top 10"

That being said, I think she will be good at Murray State.
Was just going to post until I saw this. Fabulous shooter and I think this will be a great spot for her.
Halli Poock (5'6" G out of West Waterloo) averaged 22 ppg for them on the way to a 19-1 record in the Valley this past season.
Dad was the 2nd coming of PT Barnum with all of his promotional videos on her; can't blame him for trying.
Good luck to her.
