There are many ways to finance a University operations including revenue sharing. Didn't we finance the new basketball center and back end fill with donors?

The Flutie Effect is very real and applicable to most schools. St John's has many times been paid on its investment in Pitino. And not just in terms of straight basketball revenue which I am sure is significant in and of itself.

A raise and an extension are two different things. He did not deserve a raise over his contract IMO because he already was going to get a bump in salary with the existing contract. Another raise over that made no sense.

But an extension is another story because it adds years and money to his salary and I have no issues with that.

Also, you don’t think he got more $ they just added years at his same rate?

Of course he got a bump in pay. But that had nothing to do with my original comment that was made months before the extension.
