How was attendance? 1/2 full? 3/4? What are the demographics for a Weird Al show?

What was amazing about it? Just how many different outfits he wears and his versatility with the songs? I'm sincerely curious and actually happy for the guy that he continues to earn a good living and remains relevant.

He's a riot. Was not there. I remember on his Behind the Music episode when he related how Coolio got PO'd when he did Amish Paradise to the tune of Gangsta's Paradise. Did not realize, Coolioer's heads prevailed, and Coolio kissed and made up with Weird Al.

Edit- forgot Coolio passed away in 2022. Wow: "The Los Angeles County Coroner's office announced that Ivey died from an overdose of fentanyl, heroin, and methamphetamine, with cardiomyopathy, chronic asthma, and cigarette smoking playing a major role in his death."

It was packed to the gills.

As for why it was amazing? Just off the charts musicianship from him and his band, showmanship, production, and setlist. You get so many different musical styles in one night. Al leaves it all on the stage every time. View attachment 1360449

SETLIST-Wow, a 2 hour 20 minute show.

My wife and I were there last night. We had a really good time. It's just a lot of fun.

Looks like you had pretty good seats.
What was the parking situation like- (1) where did you park; (2) did you have to pay extra to park; (3) how was exiting?

Really got turned off by the PNC and them charging all sorts of fees for "premium" parking, skip the line etc. We need to head Parkway South after shows there, and sometimes getting parking in the lots that feed to Parkway South can be a challenge if you don't pay and arrive late. There is an overflow lot that forces the exit onto Parkway North.

This is my first time at PNC in quite a while too. Parking situation is definitely a little annoying... The general parking (the lot that forces you onto gsp N) requires about a 10-minute walk up a fairly steep incline path. But it was definitely not the worst I've ever experienced... The expected snarls getting out of the lot after the game too, but I've dealt with worse. Certainly less annoying exiting than a Rutgers football games 😂
Premium parking (basically any other lot) upgrade was a whopping $100 day of, but my friend got it for $40 months ago so I guess it's dynamic.

It appears from the map on the PNC Arts Center website, ALL of the parking lots between the venue and the GSP are now premium lots. A quick check of concerts of interest indicate that they are charging $65-100 to park in those lots. Screw them. For people heading South after the show, it sucks to have to drive up to Exit 117 and then turn around to head South. Seems the only reasonable option for those who want to head South is to park in the commuter lot on the other side of the GS, which is 0.8 miles from the venue. Aside from the parking situation, the lawn for the more popular concerts is oversold, and they stick beer carts in the middle of the lawn, blocking views. Multiple reasons to skip this one fantastic venue ruined when a private entity took it over. Live Nation/Ticketmaster are horrible.

Yep, really started to go downhill in the late 90's when they started moving to commercialize it. No surprise with Live Nation involved that prices are so atrocious.

I came to the conclusion at Jimmy Buffett in (I think) 2019 that I am just too damn old for the lawn. People walk all over your stuff, are constantly walking 3' in front of you, etc. If it rains, forget about it its a total mudfest. When I was 20 or so (~2003) I saw Tom Petty and it was pouring and one of the greatest shows I've ever been to, in spite of the twin bill w/ Bob Dylan who was absolutely awful. But now, way too old to even consider it.

Saw Bob Dylan years ago there- may have been 1988- and he was horrible back then. I saw Tom Petty with the Georgia Satellites and Del Fuego at the Garden State Arts Center in 1987, and the show was fantastic.

Also saw the Ozzfest in 1999 at the Garden State Art Center. We were in the last few rows of section 400. It started pouring rain, and because it was Ozzfest, the lawn crowd was ripping up chunks of wet lawn and pelting the people in seats with them. Good times.

The mudsliding at Tom Petty was tremendous. Was so much fun. Thankfully no mud thrown, but we were up against the fence and were covered waist down by the end of the show.

"The last three days, the rain was unstoppable" was a great concert crowd pop during Running Down a Dream.
