Victoria Anne Cranmer, 25, has been arrested after investigators alleged she sexually assaulted a child under the age of 13, recorded the abuse, and shared at least one video on Snapchat.
According to investigators, the alleged assault occurred on May 6 inside Cranmer's bathroom. Multiple videos were later recovered after she returned a phone to a former roommate following a dispute. Police say they identified Cranmer through a distinctive tattoo visible in the footage before taking her into custody.
She has been charged with sexual assault of a child, manufacturing child sexual abuse material, possession of child sexual abuse material, and child endangerment. Cranmer remains in the Ocean County Jail as the case moves through the court system.
Authorities began investigating after the alleged victim's mother learned of the videos. The child has not been left in Cranmer's care since the discovery. Cranmer is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
