After all of the upsets, competitive games, etc, the cream has really risen. The 3 pre-tourney favorites to make the semifinal have done it...time to see if Argentina becomes the 4th one.

Why is football called 'soccer' in the US?
Football is life for millions of fans around the world, but in two World Cup co-host nations, they tend to call it by a different name.

I recall wondering about this. I thought there was a pass to Haaland there, then surely a goal.
I'm so confused by this "ball hitting the cable" thing...there is nothing I can see from the camera angles that have been shown that tells me the ball hit the wire...and nothing in the ball sensor showing it hitting anything. Yet it seems that all over social media, most (or at least many) are convinced that the game was fixed because it clearly hit the wire and the refs let it go. Weird.
100% agree. There's no angle that shows what they're all claiming. Just people bitching to *****.

What's the backstory with his insistence on calling the international game "soccer" instead of football? I can understand when talking about MLS but he's making a jackass out of himself.
I have no issues with him…he can get a little too into his a schtick some, but generally good.
He's not the best but not even close to the worst. You likely just don't like his "energy" which is fine but there's way worse
Erling Haaland is my vote for the next SPECTRE James Bond villain.
Ibrahimovic is who I think is the worst--I understand English isn't his first language but he's painful to listen to. He tries way too hard to come up with something funny. I'd rather listen to Alexi any day.
But this is why they have different types of people on the show--they get something for everyone
