Funniest thing I saw from the soccer games so far was the English guy trying to vault the barricade. He did break his arm in an awkward landing, not funny at all, but they took him off in a stretcher, with a broken arm.
That epitomises soccer to me. Sorry the guy broke his arm, but stretcher?????

I watched some of the Brits vs Norway match but I’ll pass on the nightcap. Pretty sure Messi’s team will get enough tuggies from the officials to advance.

Apparently flopping is suddenly a punishable offense when the team that’s not supposed to win does it.
one could dispense many many cards each game for initiating contact and falling. Although he did indeed flop there was indeed contact. he put his leg out and contacted was created.
Undeniably, men’s soccer, the gayest sport ever. Guy from Switzerland, on the world stage, has a completely indefensible fall, untouched, even went with the excruciating pain look on his face as he crashes to the ground for no reason whatsoever, and Landan Donovan (sp?), former US player, spends several minutes defending the clown after he got the boot. Even the women players think men’s soccer is gay.
It is like I said before...it is the most manipulated sport. It kind of makes it more fun that it is totally manipulated.
A friend told me I should be watching, so I tuned in yesterday and within 30 seconds saw one England player and one Norway player flop, both feigning "injury." I immediately switched channels to the outdoor pro motocross series.

It’s the most devastating injury. Then 10 seconds later they will be shown sprinting down the field as the action continues.
The thing is...there is no consequence for it so they know they might as well do it.
I don't watch soccer at any level, so I don't know if it is the same at the HS level or not but it is totally cringy.
When is this championship over? The sooner the better, IMO. Time to stop watching grown men flopping around all over each other and start prepping for real football.
