From the above linked article: "Boston College left the conference for the Atlantic Coast Conference on July 1, 2005, while Rutgers remained through conference realignment,"

Rewrite:

"Fredo left the conference for the Atlantic Coast Conference, all the while, pledging their allegiance to the Big East Conference, meanwhile leaving Rutgers in the dying Big East."

It hasn't worked out so well for Fredo in the ACC. Rutgers got their revenge in 2022 when they met for the first time:

Got my tickets today from the RU ticket office.
Just need to figure out where to park at BC.
Got real lucky last time with parking near the stadium.

Or you could consider parking at Riverside Station by 128 and take the Green Line (D train I believe) in to the Reservoir Stop right by BCs Stadium.

That is my go to for weekend events in Boston, but being that commuters will still be parked there at the time one would get there for the Fri night BC game and the Red Sox are home that night, finding spots might be a LOT tougher.

I wasn't aware of the Sox home game. That and a BC home game will make the whole damn town a mess unless the Sox are out of contention.

Doesn’t matter if the Sox are out of contention they will still pack Fenway. Between that and the commuters still parked at the T Station on Friday afternoon it will be a Knightmare. Parking at 300 Hammond Parkway sounds like the right option.

Brilliant scheduling.
With the Sox playing at home the few BC fans that attend games will be reduced by those doing to Fenway
and the RU fans will take over Alumni Stadium making the atmosphere more like a RU home game then being held at Fredo's place

Can’t wait! Got a group of 24 coming to the game (full disclosur, we are going to the Sox game on Saturday). Im hoping that there will be a pre game party like last time. We had a great time at Cityside Tavern. Hope they do it again.

That's what we did in 2022. Worked out well, with the Reservoir stop being next door to the Cityside bar for pre-game drinks. Then a nice walk around the reservoir, past the lamest tailgate setup I've ever seen, and into the stadium.
